The Terps play their home games at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Maryland. The stadium is named after Dr. H.C. Byrd, who in his 43-year career with Maryland served as the Terrapins’ head football coach, athletics director and University president. Since opening on September 30, 1950, Byrd Stadium has undergone a number of major facelifts, resulting in a state-of-the-art facility with seating capacity for 51,852 fans.
